Schedule a Free Home Health Care Consultation
A 30-minute conversation with a Newport care coordinator — no obligation, no pressure, no charge. We’ll listen, answer your questions, and tell you honestly whether home health care is the right next step.
Prefer to talk now? Call us Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm CT.

What a Newport consultation looks like
When you reach out to Newport Home Health Agency, the first conversation is always free. A care coordinator from our DFW, Houston, or San Antonio team will spend about 30 minutes with you on the phone or, if you prefer and are nearby, in your home.
We use this time to understand the situation, not to sell.
What we’ll tell you in return
By the end of the conversation, you will know:
- Whether home health care is likely a good fit and which Newport service line matches the need
- Whether the situation appears eligible for Texas Medicaid (STAR+PLUS), Medicare home health, or whether private pay is the realistic path
- How long it typically takes to start care from this point — usually 48 hours to 2 weeks
- What a reasonable schedule and weekly hour range would look like
- Smart steps to take before care begins (talking to the PCP, requesting a Medicaid assessment, gathering documents)
Who you’ll talk to
Consultations are handled by Newport care coordinators — experienced staff who manage real cases day to day, not call-center operators. Your call is routed to the regional team closest to where care will be delivered, so the person on the phone knows the local Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, the local hospitals, and the realities of the community.
There is no obligation
A consultation is not a contract and not a sales pitch. If at the end of the call you decide Newport is not the right fit, we will tell you so directly and, when we can, point you toward an agency or program that may be better matched. Many consultations end with a clear next step that is not ‘hire Newport’ — and we are good with that.
What we’ll ask about
The person who needs care
Age, conditions, current routine, who is helping today.
What is changing
A recent hospital stay, a fall, declining mobility, a new diagnosis, a new caregiver gap.
Practical needs
Bathing, meals, mobility, medication reminders, transportation, companionship.
Insurance and program coverage
Texas Medicaid, STAR+PLUS, Medicare, private pay, long-term care insurance.
Family logistics
Who lives nearby, who’s available daytime, where the caregiving gaps are.
The home itself
Stairs, accessibility, pets, household members, location and layout.
